Village Productions (VP) is a private, non-profit organization serving rural, mostly Appalachian area around Amesville, Ohio. VP has three major program sections: Children’s Programming, Adult Education and Community Events.

 

Our Mission Statement: Village Production’s mission is to provide learning opportunities through the living arts. Our goal is to create classes and programs in movement, music, crafts, nature, ecology  and life skills that support healthy development of children, families and individuals. Our objective is to support and strengthen the Amesville community.

 

Vision: Village Productions reaches out to the Appalachian Community providing classes and programs in Amesville and surrounding areas with the goal of teaching from the inside-out.  We seek an environment where participants thrive and are respected and understood. Our main goal is to create a vibrant and healthy rural community.

Mondays, 5:30‐6:30pm

African Dance

Ages 12+ Learn basic African movements, and progress to more

advanced techniques. Students will gain an exciting perspective on

the movements, styles, meanings of the dances, and traditions that

surround African dance!

YOGALATES

Mondays, 7:30‐8:30pm

This class packs the power of Pilates with the ease of Yoga. Finding

a balance between these two forms of exercise, we will work toward

increased strength and flexibility, stemming from the core

and expanding into the full body. All levels are welcome.

Village Productions Community Center is located in the Amesville Grange building. Use the  parking lot between the Post Office and the Grange, and enter at the door facing the lot. Take the stairs to the studio, on the second floor.

Thanks to the Athens Foundation for funding Village Productions with a grant this summer. We will be expanding our volunteer program, adding new classes and offering scholarships.
